Study your way
A number of our health courses provide allow you to choose between on-campus or online study, while some provide a mix of on-campus and online delivery methods. CQUniversity is an established provider of online study and is able to offer a number courses in this mode that have not traditionally been available, such as nursing, medical science, exercise and sport sciences, accident forensics, paramedic science and more.

Our courses are constantly being reviewed and updated in consultation with industry, accrediting bodies and other stakeholders to ensure they are relevant and up-to-date. In fact, our offerings are a response to industry demand for people with specialised industry expertise.
Work integrated learning
CQUniversity’s health courses feature work integrated learning, or learning on the job. For some courses this may be referred to as clinical placement.
You may be required to complete unit undertakings in real‑life workplaces, allowing you to put learning directly into practice. This hands-on, project-based learning is one reason CQUniversity graduates are in such high demand by employers.
Purpose-built facilities
Quality facilities ensure learning is delivered in context, taught in a similar setting to real-world situations including exceptional simulation environments. New facilities including state-of-the-art technology for fitness and body function testing offer exercise and sport sciences students sophisticated training. Nursing students have access to a fully equipped Clinical Learning Centre (CLC) replicating a real hospital ward, while medical imaging and medical sonography are taught from new purpose-built multi-million dollar labs. The new CQUniversity Health Clinic at CQUniversity Rockhampton also provides clinical learning experiences to students.
