MAJORS
Application Development
The Application Development major will prepare you for a career in application development. You will be exposed to industry best practice in terms of technology, including mobile computing, web development and enterprise computing, systems analysis and design and project management.Through your choice of elective units, you will have the opportunity to either broaden your knowledge base in business application development or develop expertise in specific areas, such as multimedia or games development.
Business Analysis
Business analysis is the ability to identify, define and design a solution to solve business problems. A business analyst is a good communicator and possesses project management skills, as well as an understanding of organisational issues.The Business Analysis major covers topics such as business analysis planning, requirements elicitation and management, requirements and enterprise analysis, and evaluation of alternative solutions. You will study courses from the business perspective that will provide you with an understanding of human behaviour at work and strategic analysis and implementation.
Network Security
The Network Security major focuses on the technologies that are used to create and secure the networks that connect us. As part of this major you will address topics such as how messages travel over the Internet, what technology is required to deploy reliable networks and how information is kept private and secure. Completing this major may be suitable if you would like to pursue a career in network engineering, network security and systems administration, computer forensics and law enforcement, technical business analysis or technical project management.
